Review: Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil

HELLO :) How was your week? Hopefully it was a lot more exciting than mine! Anyways, today I'll be reviewing Innisfree's Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil, something I've been dying to get my hands on ever since late spring.

To put things straight: cleansing oil = make up remover. Usually I'd use makeup wipes, traditional removers, or more heavy-duty facial cleansers to take off my BB cream but something about the apple scent and Innisfree's natural concept completely drew me in to wanting to try this sucker out. First things first, I got this sucker off of jolse for around $14-15 during their Innisfree promotion time which I believe is every first week of the month. Considering how you pay for only 150mL of product, I could see how some would argue and say that this is a little more on the expensive side. I do use this product quite frequently, (as does my mother) seeing how I wear BB cream often. After around 2 months of use, we have used up around 1/3 half the bottle. A little sad but I considering how often I use this and how much I love it, I definitely would repurchase this.

Since I have quite acne prone sensitive skin, trying out new skincare items freak me out. Some things leave my skin feeling too stripped while others don't seem to do anything for me at all. This isn't the case. My skin feels extremely smooth, not completely moisturized, but not completely stripped either; it's a nice balance. Since cleansing oils don't exactly benefit your skin in any other way besides removing makeup, I typically follow up with a cleanser that targets my skin's needs depending on the day. I do find this cleansing oil to be gentle enough to follow up with acne cleansers. Recently, I've been rotating between The Body Shop's tea tree cleanser and Etude's AC clinic daily acne foam cleanser. Another reason as to why I love this oil cleanser is because it doesn't irritate or break my skin out at all. PLUS PLUS PLUS.

The concept between cleansing oils is to massage the oil into your dry skin using dry hands, then rinsing with warm water. You can literally see the cloudiness and makeup contamination while rinsing, so this oil's makeup removing properties are super good. I've even used this to remove mascara and eyeliner without a problem, though I'm not too sure of its effectiveness on waterproof makeup.

In conclusion, I'd definitely recommend all of you to try this out, or a cleansing oil in general. They might be a little freaky at first but from my experience with this one, they're definitely a dream.

Thanks for reading! Until next time!
xo, Catherine

    1. Aaah yes I did piece it together myself but it's really nothing fancy at all! Just some simple HTML and coding that doesn't qualify me for accepting your money at all! Of course I'm willing to help out or answer any questions you have though, just shoot me a message! :)
